Chakoshi,  Matcha Sieve - Gold

This matcha strainer (chakoshi 茶漉し) is thoughtfully designed to perfectly fit standard matcha bowls. With a handle and support hook, it can rest securely on the bowl, allowing for easy hands-free sifting. While its size and mesh (30 mesh) are optimised for matcha, its compact form also makes it ideal for brewing loose-leaf tea in smaller servings.

The mesh has been specially treated with a unique surface process called "Kona Tsukaazu" (meaning it prevents powder from sticking). This finish creates microscopic peaks (around 80,000 per mm²) on the metal surface, which greatly reduces powder sticking and enhances flow. As a result, powder passes through at roughly twice the speed of standard strainers, cutting sifting time in half.
