Kenyan Black Tea 

Grown in the Kaptebeswet gardens of Kericho, Kenya, Antique Black is a robust loose-leaf black tea with a bold, malty character and a rich, complex aroma. The buds and young green leaves are handpicked and carefully selected, with the whole, unbroken leaves retained throughout the process.

Produced in small batches, the leaves are gently hand-rolled using the traditional orthodox method rather than being cut, torn and crushed for mass production. This careful handling allows the leaves to develop greater depth while preserving their natural character, resulting in a cup with a layered flavour, satisfying body and delicate aromatic notes.

The production process is closely monitored from leaf to finished tea, with particular attention given to the tea's flavour, aroma and appearance. The result is a more considered expression of Kenyan black tea: crafted for drinking and appreciating as a finished loose-leaf tea, rather than simply as a raw leaf destined for conventional mass production.
